The heroes are also a small let down as the majority of them are just melee steroid characters, and Faustus is just a cop out for another pricey dragon character as cool as the fact he turns into Boneheart is. This tried to copy the familiarity feeling that frontiers gave but the complete different setting and look was asking for a new feeling to compliment it so the note never struck right with me. ![]() even though it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing entries in the series, however, It boils down to a re-skin of the prior 2 games as the same 4 towers of 2 paths will pass for the second time with new paths but for a third time I at least expected new base towers. Kingdom rush origins- My least favourite game in the series is Origins, as much as i still think the game is amazing it is just the most boring in the series. This is all complimented by a fun selection of heroes and nice variety of level settings and enemies. The tower balance is also pretty bad, Tesla's are absolutely stupid and barbarians feel weak on the later stages. The loveable tone of the original and simple mechanics of the heroes compared to the more recent releases can make it feel like the ideal kingdom rush for beginners however the unforgiving difficulty contradict that feeling in the secondary campaigns. Kingdom Rush- As my personal introduction to the sef ries I find it hard to rank this last so i replayed the whole game on a new save in veteran to respark my love for the original. The biggest let downs were the lack of interesting post game content (ENDLESS LEVEL PLEASE) and difficulty Taking Vengeance as the fun, replay-able mess it is allows it to be, in my opinion, one of the best kingdom rush games for custom challenges due to the shear amount of possibilities. The lack of difficulty originally had me a little let down however, I eventually just decided to challenge myself instead by limiting my towers and upgrades during my impossible run. This adds just a little more thought to the spending of upgrade points. The changes made to the upgrade tree are also very cool allowing different paths for the Global spell and Reinforcements. ![]() Kingdom Rush Vengeance- Purely for fun, The amount of heroes and tower variety makes it in my opinion the second best game in the series. Genuinely nothing bad to say apart from the boring main campaign story, however the side campaigns somewhat make up for it Overall a brilliant sequel to the original by improving on the mechanics that sucked in KR1 such as the hero mechanics and boring level layouts as well as keeping the great tower and ability upgrade system and tower variety. Kingdom Rush Frontiers- Just genuinely the most interesting and engaging entry in the series with a cool variety of environments, enemies, towers and heroes.
